About Colin

Colin Trudell (he/him/his) is a New York City based actor, singer, musician and writer. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Colin grew up drawing, playing music, reading books, and playing soccer. Following high school graduation, Colin made his way to San Marcos, Texas to study musical theatre at Texas State University under the direction of Kaitlin Hopkins. Throughout his time at school, Colin had the pleasure of studying with Kaitlin and her husband Jim Price, Cassie Abate, Michael and Marqui Maresca, Laura Lane, Neil Patrick Stewart, and many other amazing faculty members. In 2021, Colin graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors, completing and publishing his first play as an undergraduate thesis. He also had the opportunity to study Shakespeare abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at London’s Old Globe.

Upon moving to New York, Colin has continued to take class, studying voice with Sarah K. Brown and acting with Laura Henry and Jess Cummings, among others. Recently, he made his Off-Broadway debut playing Emmet Otter in Jim Henson’s Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas and his TV debut as a guest star on Law and Order: SVU. Feel free to check in on his Videos and Projects page for updates on ongoing projects, and reach out if you’d ever like to collaborate on something!

In his free time, Colin continues to play soccer in the city, uses his AMC Stubs membership to the maximum, and fantasizes about adopting a dog. He is a die hard fan of the Detroit Lions (“this is the year!!” he says every year…) and would love to talk your ear off about vintage guitars.
